June Updates!
Hey everyone! Now that the last of the apps have been processed (thanks so much to the app team who helped us out this round!) and characters are starting to get settled, we'd like to officially welcome everyone to the game! We hope you all have a really great time, and enjoy what we have in store for you!
But first, we have a few announcements:
App Cycle Changes
Because it was our first, this past app cycle was longer and at a different time than normal, to give everyone a little more time to get their apps in. Normally, app cycles will run from the 8th to 15th of any given month, with Reserves opening on the 1st and closing on the 7th.
Secondly, after some deliberation there will be a more of a delay in the future between when the app cycle closes and when the intro log goes up, to ensure that we have more time to get through all applications. This shouldn't be a delay of more than two to three days, but we figured it best to give advance warning. Thanks for bearing with us as we figure this out.
NPCs
Just as a reminder, the NPCs are always available for IC contact here. It works just like the IC mailboxes between players - if you need an NPC for a log or something else that's a bit more involved, please contact a moderator and we'll get you set up.
Our final NPC, Stixia will have an introductory log sometime later this week, which will be open to all players. We apologize for any delays in NPC tags over the last week or so.
Housing Reminder
Just a reminder that your characters can freely move to different apartments at any time, if they wish to do so!
If your character intends to move in to one of the other apartments, either alone or with a group of others, please reply to the housing post with the name of all characters involved, their current rooms, and the room they intend to move to.
Later this month!
We want to give characters some time to settle in, so this month's event will be overall low-key, but rest assured we do have something planned! More details will come within the next week or two.
Activity Check!
As mentioned on our Rules and FAQ pages, Activity check will run from the 1st to 7th of each month, and July is no exception. However, our first Activity Check will merely be a check-in, and making sure that you've replied to the Taken List and Player Contact pages (so if you haven't done so yet, make sure to go do that ASAP!).
Generally speaking, this is how the first activity check will be for all new characters in the future. We'll remind you all of this when Activity Check itself goes up.
And that's about it for now! Feel free to contact the mods with any questions, or reply to this post!

Re: QUESTIONS
You mention moving to the larger apartments and such, but the page still shows that the other buildings with the larger apartments are 'under renovation.' Are you planning on opening them at a certain time or are you just waiting for people to start to want to move in there?
And secondly, I noticed in the setting descriptions that the streets are mentioned as being too narrow for cars in one area (District 1). Should it be assumed that natives don't use things like cars or motorcycles at all or are they just not common in certain areas of the city?
Thanks!

2. Yes, for the most part natives don't use cars - you might see a motorbike or scooter here and there, but most people walk from place to place in the local areas of the city. If they need to get across town, the natives can use a subway system. However, the subway currently closed off for the same reasons that the other districts of the city aren't open to visitors. If they were to find a way to enter the subway, their energy would drain just as if they went into one of the closed-off sectors of the city.
