EVENT: Within The Shadows (Part 2)
Hello again, players! As head mod I would like to apologize for how abrupt the sudden event is and how it has left most with questions as to what is going on. Please allow me to address some of those concerns.
Event: Within the Shadows, Part Two
July 28th-July 30th
On the 28th, symbols akin to the marks left on the snow goons began appearing on the walls and in the mailboxes of those who had stepped out of the city's walls. Lights began to flicker occasionally and businesses in the third and fourth districts began closing down for the day early as the residents took note of the marks and panicked. At 11:00pm, messages began appearing with the symbols in the languages of the guest characters:
As of dawn on the 29th, the locals attempt to remove the messages, however finding that the paint was magically applied and won't come off. They seem to glow brighter the more they are scrubbed. Anyone who asks the locals will not find much information as they themselves have no idea who is causing it, but the symbols are a known bad omen to those given or marked with it.
Officials will be asking the guests for help in catching whoever has been leaving these messages, as well as threatening the peace the city has tried to maintain since the snow goons last year. That evening, glimpses of small reptilian creatures can be seen near the markings after they appear. Anyone who catches a glimpse of them will find the next time they step into a well-lit area that their shadow has disappeared.
In the morning of the 30th, guests who have arrived during the months after the investigation to the outside will find the following messages and a candle in their mailboxes:
For those who discovered the cave or where the signal was hacked, the message and candle colour will be slightly different:
For those who fall into neither category, a violet candle and a message will be left inside their mailbox

On the evening of the 30th, those who lit the candles provided with the letters will find a slight sound of static coming from all devices connected to the city's network. This static is soon followed by a message from an unknown man.
