Greetings, acolytes! We hope that your preparations for Halloween and the following winter holidays that corporations keep trying to push earlier and earlier in the stores because MONEY inb4 we have a Nightmare Before Christmas gif have been going well! It has been far too long since we have had an event, and I truly apologize for the delay.

That is, however, the reason for this entry. It is time.... for another festival!

Hello again, players! As head mod I would like to apologize for how abrupt the sudden event is and how it has left most with questions as to what is going on. Please allow me to address some of those concerns.

Event: Midsummer Festival!

We've got something special for you all! In a few more weeks, the summer lights festival returns, with new events and old stand bys as well. So what all can you expect?

As the sun rises Friday morning, there is an odd, relatively benign undercurrent of magic in the air. Strangely enough, only the Visitors to Saeng Seong can detect this undercurrent, the natives being completely ignorant of it. To a select few, the current is even tangible to some extent, feeling much like a refreshing spring breeze that leaves a tingling sensation on the skin. As the day progresses, however, this feeling will vanish.

As the sun sets and the residents of the city fall asleep, those that felt that tingling sensation will find themselves yearning for the outdoors. Perhaps a door will be left open, or windows cracked. In some cases, they might find themselves with the un-ignorable urge to sleep outside under the clear night sky.

The next day, those that felt the odd compulsion will find themselves affected by the magic they had absorbed the previous day, and wake up in an... interestingly altered state.

Greetings, players! As you can probably take from the title of this event post, there is some strange magic afoot, and several characters will find themselves transformed into animals of some kind.

Yes, animals. Because that's how we roll. Small or large, feathered or scaled, mundane or something straight out of fantasy, the sky is the limit - as long as the creature isn't so large that they can't fit in the lobby of a building.

What does this mean for you, the suddenly transformed players? It means that for one week, those affected by the magic that had permeated the air on Friday will be stuck in this new form. Those trapped like this will find themselves not only physically transformed, but slowly mentally turning into that same animal.

How do you prevent this, you might ask? The same way that the city is powered, of course! Physical contact will help the new animal instincts from taking over those affected.

How do you sign up? Just leave a comment below saying you'll be participating, and what your character will be turned into, and get to plotting!

Greetings, Rekindle players! After a break, we're working on setting up a new event for everyone!



Exploration: Stepping Outside
23rd-26th

That's right; on the 26th of March we'll be opening up the city gates for a day of exploration! (With plenty of opportunity for back tagging as well, in real life time.) It's time to go looking for the cause of that signal hijacking that occurred in December, as well as doing a little bit of exploration, tangling with whatever is lurking outside the city, or maybe even doing some fetch quests! And in the meantime, players and characters have a few days in order to plan their next move.

To help with that, we've also put together a signup box! This is an INFORMAL and OOC thing, so we can see who is participating.

Are they planning on doing something really brave/stupid? <b>Looking for a buddy?</b> Feel free to say so here, if you're looking for CR and an exploration buddy!

It's taken some doing, and a few delays, but the fifth district is at last up and running!

Due to the delay (and a little NPC tinkering off screen with energy levels) the new district is open to everyone from day one and onwards. We have one intro log up for everyone this time around, with more details on the new district!

Also, thank you everyone for giving ideas on what you'd like to see! Some things we've stored for later districts, but others we've put into this one. Have fun!

Seems like all is not well in Saeng Seong this holiday season, judging by the monster golem snowmen lurching about and causing trouble. They're hostile, aggressive, and attacking anyone they can find out on the streets.

There's a storm on the way and it promises...Well, nothing too severe actually, but plenty of shenanigans. We're having a bit of a breather between the big November and December events, with a change of the seasons. Starting today on November 23rd, the rainy season is kicking off in earnest! And during the week, it'll be carrying some odd effects with it:

Singing In The Rain: Namely, people caught out in some of these storms may feel a strange compulsion to sing. Songs that they know, original musical numbers, it's all good. Want to create your own version of Once More With Feeling from Buffy? That's also encouraged.

Oddly enough, the effects only seem to happen when directly under the rain; carrying an umbrella stalls any compulsive singing quite well. There's even some available for free, set out in bins for the taking! (They just might also happen to have some small flaws, such as being leaky, or being incredibly tacky when it comes to colors or design.) Also, this section of the event is purely optional.

Lights Out: Finally, on the 27th Saeng Seong will also be experiencing a power outage! It's a good time to find someone to cuddle up with, and maybe light a few candles together to illuminate the apartments...Or maybe go out and help activate a few sump pumps, if you get tired of sitting in the dark.

Trick and Treat
October 16 - October 28

Hello, everyone! Have your characters been paying attention to the small glimpses of shadow and light out of the corner of their eyes? Because if not, they’re about to get a lot harder to ignore.

As of today (late night, October 21st), the vague, shadowy shapes will begin to linger, almost as if following your character…until they turn around, of course, and the figure vanishes. But sometimes, they will linger long enough for them to see a dark, yet transparent human-esque shape. Like a ghost!

Spooky, huh? What could they possibly be?
