August Meet and Greet!
Hello everybody, it's that time of the month, with apps and acceptances and whatnot! Instead of filling the OOC comms with intros, this is a MEET AND GREET for new players and characters!
• This is a place for you to introduce you and your character. You can ramble on about what you want to do while you're here, CR opportunities, your cats, anything.
• Reply to others about how EXCITED you are to play with them!
• Maybe make some friends!
• An IC intro log will be posted for all incoming players on August 15th!
Here's a little copypasta box for people who like boxes. Remember, it's all optional!

Sparring is always nice, but man mention that you haven't heard of baseball you better be prepared to be extensively shown and told the workings of it.

Oh yes, I figured that might be the case. Considering Noel didn't even know what a theme park was and was quick to make as much apparent, I'm quite sure baseball lectures are entirely possible. Closest Noel gets is pitching a moogle for distant loot, I believe.
no subject
Noel your life is so hard. D: And hey whatever skills you have Yamamoto will definitely help utilize them! And swinging a sword is almost like swinging a bat. Kind of. Maybe. In shonen logic it could be.
no subject
Square Enix has a thing for punishing their babies, but at least Noel takes it in stride
after some requisite brooding. Shonen logic is great logic though, feel free to apply it to anything Noel does. He'd have the strangest mental image of this game though.no subject
Lol at least his brooding was justifiable I mean last person on earth that must be the worst. He could get so many hugs just with that. And what is his mental image of this game I am curious now.
no subject
Oh, he doesn't even brood then. It gets worse, and even then he hangs in there. Then it gets even worse, and that is the magical time to brood. Would laugh at hugs though, or rather Noel's reaction to it. First time in centuries, geez.
Pondering because I know baseball and he doesn't... Hm...clouting a ball with a club and then charging at people and apparently stealing whatever they're standing on. And considering there's somebody there, maybe you have to fight them. For some reason there's four of these things, so you're running around in a circle, even. And why are we throwing balls like Moogles when Moogles will actually pick up loot? So it's...some weird mess of things.
Yamamoto is this some really violent sport, what even.
no subject
Noel what a cutie. D: Keep hanging in there friend. And aw I hope he gets a lot of hugs then.
It wouldn't help that Yamamoto is seriously terrible at explaining things. He seriously just makes sound effects for the most part. But yeah he'd probably just let Noel think all these things and even draw a Moogle face on the baseball if that helps.
It is kind of violent when Yamamoto plays it. He doesn't pull punches when it comes to throwing. D: Also the people he wants to play baseball with are mafia members so you can bet the people he'll collect will all be ridiculously strong.
no subject
He'll be all right. Part of why I take him from the canon-point that I do, since he's a bit more like his old self that way. Even if he will awkward at hugs. Like what are you doing people.
Gosh that reminds me of a couple of characters in Haikyuu so I can picture it. And yes that won't help at all. Noel will just have to observe it himself...and then wonder why nobody uses spells in this game. You could hit that ball so far with buffs, Yamamoto.
Isn't he hardcore about anything you call a game, ever? That sounds like it'd be some brutal baseball, but at least Noel's guess wouldn't be that far off then.
no subject
I still need to watch Haikyuu lol but it comes highly recommended. I just started watching some sports animes I don't know what my life has become. Though oh man if he used spells during the baseball game it was be great lol. It would just become a free for all let's be real.
And yup. o/ You say anything is a game and he's one hundred percent hardcore about it, he's kind of insane.
no subject
I'm usually the sort that doesn't want to look at sports anime but my sister prodded me and darn, it's quite enjoyable. Definitely worth viewing. And if Noel gets the impression you're supposed to go all out he'll very likely do so.
...Hug game, Yamamoto, go. Insane hug people.
no subject
Lol that's what I hear that all the characters are pretty good and you actually learn about the sport, so sign me up. And yes Noel and Yamamoto will probably get along very well then. o/ He likes people who are competitive and who push themselves.
I fear for the other innocent residents in this game tbh for that very reason.
no subject
Yeah, I've certainly learned about it. Had a friend who played Volleyball but never knew that much about the mechanics of it. Noel's definitely got that in him; back in his original time he downed a Behemoth by himself and was pretty proud of it. And when he couldn't beat a guy in swordplay with one weapon he decided he could do it with two of them.
Well it's okay, game characters usually have healing spells. What's worse is if somebody takes intense crazy-hugs as a challenge.
no subject
Lol him and Yamamoto will get along then. o/ Yamamoto doesn't like to lose and when he does he tries to get stronger as quick as possible. He's also fluctuated between using one to four swords because shonen logic why not.
Healing spells with definitely be handy. o/ And this sounds like a hilarious challenge, I'm not going to lie. I just feel bad for the people who get caught in the cross fire.
no subject
Four sounds impressive indeed, though I can't imagine how one does it. Then again, Ventus can technically have six at once, so SE likes this logic too. But yeah, Noel and Yamamoto would get along dandy from the sounds of it.
Buffs and heals, we've got this. And it would be beautiful, if we can just find somebody that kind of competitive. Bonus points if somebody really serious and/or reserved gets in the middle of that.
no subject
Yeah he had three little swords and one huge one it was a mess I'm glad they did away with it lol. I don't know how you could handle six but it sounds like it would be a hilarious fight tbh. They could have a small armory between them.
We just need to get everyone mixed in with the madness and it would be fantastic.
no subject
Yes this is the sort of thing that ought to be plotted upon. The more people you get in on madness, the better it is.
no subject
I hope we can get a lot of people lol. Maybe Yamamoto can talk some of these people who are just here for the sparring into trying it out.
no subject
We might need a point-based system. More points for the sparring types if Yamamoto can get them in on it. Granted the points'd have the same significance as points on Whose Line, but still.
