Hello everybody, it's that time of the month, with apps and acceptances and whatnot! Instead of filling the OOC comms with intros, this is a MEET AND GREET for new players and characters!

• This is a place for you to introduce you and your character. You can ramble on about what you want to do while you're here, CR opportunities, your cats, anything.

• Reply to others about how EXCITED you are to play with them!

• Maybe make some friends!

• An IC intro log will be posted for all incoming players on August 15th!

That said, this is Mitsuru Kirijo from that Persona series, specifically an AU version of P4Arena (following P3Portable information). She's a totally serious rich heiress who not only runs her family's company but also runs a super special team called the Shadow Operatives. And you know that robot, Labrys? Yeah, that's her robot. Her company made that robot. Don't mess with that robot now that Mitsuru's here.

Also, I guess people can recognize her and stuff from her previous stay. I mean, it's not like she's not a 20 year old version of herself now.

Yes, yes we are. I always have to re-look-up what Noel's are called, but Terra has epic hakama.

And it's a pleasure to meet you! Birth by Sleep is actually my favorite Kingdom Hearts title, so I'm quite familiar with this keyblade-slinger.

Yes, he does! The most epic hakama - they look so comfy.

Oh. Goodness, no pressure at all, then - Birth By Sleep pretty much is my favorite title in the series, heartbreak and all. ^^; I hope I don't disappoint - this keyslinger's AU, but I still hope he's recognizably himself in the ways that matter.

I do have to say that it was an absolute joy reading your application - I almost picked up a Noel during my playthrough of XIII-2, so I really look forward to these two somehow meeting up.

Perhaps one day they can discuss the benefits of pants nobody else seems to appreciate. Or I'll imagine such a silly scenario anyway.

I did notice the AU, and one of the interesting things about them is they make you think about what's intrinsic to a character. The things that'd change, and the things that wouldn't. I like to think it gives you the sense of what really makes the essence if a character.

Wow, thank you. I had quite the time articulating what I Noel about this guy (...I could not resist...), but I had a good proofreader to tell me I where I ought to explain more, or consolidate paragraphs, all that good stuff. And gosh, it seems like folks like Noel but don't play him, so clearly this means more room for moi...or something. Always down for meeting Terra, he's a great character.

Light, that'd be a silly but somehow totally serious conversation. Good mental image fodder, at the very least!

And yeah, they really do - cutting a character down to their core just to figure out how they'd grow and change with different circumstances while still being themselves is something I'v come to really enjoy about the AU process. Not just that, but figuring out how all those little changes ripple outward to make big changes... it's really fascinating, even if I'll never play even 1/4 of the things I brainstorm.

I can't speak for everyone else, but I'm usually intimidated by new canons if I almost pick up a muse for them. New Muse Jitters, if you will. It's sad that characters like Noel don't get played so often, because I *adored* him in XIII-2 - I really need to finish XIII-3 for prime heartbreak, I think.

Definitely down for somehow meeting - sparring buddies is a thing that should probably happen. :D

Also imagining the first time either of them uses the utterance of "light," because it means entirely different things to them. Bonus if a certain pink-haired woman spots it.

I used to actually hit up dressing rooms with various AUs before I'd tackle the canon version of a character. And there are always so many ideas to play with, it's sort of like handling a puzzle. Whether all of those aspects of a character come out in an OU version can vary, so it's fun in that respect as well.

That's an experience I can relate to a bit, though usually if I can find icons I'll at least make a journal. Icons tend to be my last excuse, preceded by "I bet I can't find a good user name..." Noel here I avoided taking a crack at for a while, but the idea was like a cat batting at my elbows. Eventually, I couldn't ignore it.

Heck yes. One form of contact Noel can be comfortable with, sign him up.

P.S. I'd be curious to get another opinion on now Lightning Returns concludes, whenever you finish it.

Immediate plans are to move out of the apartments to somewhere more private and perhaps (app for and subsequently) open a machine shop. Or fix-it shop. Whatever is the proper term for a high-tech Best Buy where gadgets are made to order and giant robots are repaired. Looking forward to playing with everyone!

PLANS/ETC: Hey all my name is Mimi and I’m bringing this huge baseball nerd into the game and if you thought you didn’t have any personal space before, he’ll be there to make you think again. He’s a pretty cheerful, sociable person who likes making friends, especially with people who insult him or try to kill him. Despite his dorkiness, he also was recruited to join the mafia and is a rather skilled swordsman.

My plans for him so far is to have him hug people, maybe find some strong people to spar with, and maybe start a baseball team because I think really far ahead. Yup. I look forward to RPing with you guys. o/
