Winter Wonderland
December 19 - December 25

It's that time of year again! The cold is starting to blow in from the northwestern side of town, a bit of rain and sleet in the residential district... but that's all fine and dandy because CHRISTMAS!! (For those who celebrate it.) The residents have done their best to decorate the city streets in religion-neutral tones. Brown walls decorated in reds, greens, and vibrant blues and trees strung with lights. The park seems to be enchanted by local mages to have the peculiar effect of freak snowfall compared to the just above-freezing weather of the rest of the city. If they guests check the Welcome Center, there will even be a decorated box where they can petition for a non-sentient companion or item from their home world (or a world they have been before!).

Though on the evening of the 18th, a strange mist falls upon the city. Some may be compelled to go to sleep during this time, and when they awaken, they may just find themselves a bit shorter than they had been before. Though that's to be expected, right? After all you're only a child! Or are you? Wait, this isn't your room is it?

What's going on?

As could probably be gleaned from the above, it's time for a Deaging Event! On the morning of the 19th, guests of the city will awaken to find themselves as they were when they were younger (The age is entirely up to the player, we won't judge! ...Unless you decide to go infant or toddler stage and aren't Tommy Pickles.) or in some rare cases, older and surrounded by friends who were all older than you when they went to bed last night. Side effects of this event may entail:

Waking up younger than the character is without memories before this age.
Waking up younger than the character is with their previously obtained memories.
Waking up older with possible memories from the city that haven't happened.
Waking up older with no additional memories.
General confusion of how your neighbor is suddenly five.

Which your characters will end up as is completely up to you, but keep in mind that no matter which path you take, they will recall whatever happens come the 26th.

Regain Gifts:
Since it's the holiday season, this event will also come with presents! Specifically, characters can receive items or companions/pets (ie a dog, cat, chocobo, etc that would normally be an NPC) from their world! The science team is working on pulling some comforts from home over once again, as a surprise and an expression of good will. Your character doesn't have to ask for their presents out loud, or even IC; they'll still receive them on the 25th. We just have three rules in place:

1. It has to come from your character's world.
2. It shouldn't be larger than a big car. (Or if it is larger, it will be scaled down accordingly.) So no private jets, sadly. In addition your character can get a vehicle if they want! Though fuel wise, it will be limited to what's in the tank, for now.
3. You can ask for up to two gifts! Because the likelihood they'll remember asking for one as their adult selves when they're a child is a twenty percent chance.

I'm going to age Yu Narukami up to about maybe his late twenties with possible memories of living in the city for a long time. He'll still be generally pleasant but more than likely lost all hope to go back home. He hides it well but most of all still being that lovable dork with the banchou coat wearing tall thing that pops out of his soul. And have a picture for reference.

If anyone wants to talk or plot about possible memories with him, I'm up for it.

To be honest I think she might have a lot more trouble without memories? People will be less likely to recognize her and she won't recognize anyone else... plus, she hadn't picked "Fortuna" as her name yet, right? That's my two cents, anyway.

Mikey will be de-aged to turtle tot age. Probably around 7-9? I think it will just be physically, so he'll retain his usual memories.

As for presents - I so want him to get his kitten klunk! As well as his skateboard. :)

Pilouette is going to be de-aged to an awkward little middle schooler. She's a little more awkward and shy, and is just about to get into what parents call "that age."

Oh jeez, so um, Teddie was a little less bear-like in the past and a lot more...blob-like, so who wants to take care of a baby Shadow? It should also be noted that he is not gonna be okay when this is over.

As for Manolo, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. If I can find enough screenshots, I might age him down. If not, he'd be more than happy to help take care of sudden bitties.

For his first regain--consider it what adult Diarmuid would ask for--I would like to ask for Diarmuid to get this bronze torc. Torcs mean a lot in his culture and while little Diarmuid won't know it, this one is even more special because his best friend had it made for him when he was given the title "First of the Fianna" as an adult.

His second regain is a little odder. Since he has been in the city so long, it has really become a second home to him. Could he ask for a scrapbook that has pictures of the people he has met here in it? He would really love something to help him remember all the friends he's made who have left the city. (Thank you Pilouette for telling him about the great invention that is pictures...)

Bitty is finally going to grow up and he will have false memories of his time in the city. He will be in his early 20s or so. Who needs a babysitter for their suddenly little characters? Diarmuid will collect all of the kiddos! :-D

1. A Bulbasaur (A Level 5 Bulbasaur, one of the starters he gives out... and probably with its FR/LG moveset because that's the point in canon he comes from.)

2. A basket with a few different kinds of berries for Pokemon (Oran, Pecha, Sitrus, etc. And if he can have the berries, can he plant them to grow more berries? He'd make Pokemon food from them.)

I just thought of something - there's probably a place in the shopping district where he can buy a skateboard? A character mentioned a place where you can buy bikes so it got me thinking.

If this is the case, is Mikey able to get his box of comic books instead of his skateboard as a gift? (It's nothing excessive, just one of those cardboard comic boxes with his collection in it!)

If he can't, that's okay!! It was just something that popped in my head after reading through some of my tags.
