Trick and Treat
October 16 - October 28

Hello, little flames! Fall is creeping upon us, and while the power has been stable in the city since the opening of the 4th district, the nights are beginning to feel a bit cooler. Why, you may even say that this marks the advent of our next event!

The NPCs have begun their preparations for the festival in District Four. Decorations of the more traditional variety are being hung around the temple and lake from the trees surrounding them. Some may even see others begin to be collecting special paper from the temple as the days go by!

However, starting on Wednesday the 16th, characters will begin to feel as though they are being watched. Shadows will creep from the corners of their eyes, or maybe to a few they will see brief sparks of light of unknown origins. No matter which, a slight chill seems to accompany the presences. What could this be, and what does it mean for residents and guests alike?

Only one thing is certain aside from how incredibly dorky the decorations are: something wicked this way comes... Perhaps finding someone to stick close to would be a good idea?

More information will come as the event progresses, but it is important to note that like others, participation in this event is optional. If you have any questions, ask away! Otherwise, you may use this entry to plot with your fellow players.

I know already that chances are, M'gann will be switching costumes in just about every thread. (I want to have her dress up in her zombie bride costume, as Marvin the Martian, and any other ideas that enter into my head.)

Halloween never goes well in Gotham, so Steph is going to opt out and just be Batgirl pretty much the whole time. The paranoia will accommodate this quite nicely.

So Barbara is going to be a pretty purple princess (or maybe not. I don't know. It's just an option I have up there to mess with Dick. Bruise makeup may be involved) but will also be TERRIBLY PARANOID.

Should we do something with them being paranoid together???

Naturally Soushi will feel pretty suspicious over the shadows and random light due to his position as an Atavist, so he might seek comfort from his CR or anyone who wants him. Would anyone like to have an overprotective SS checking up on your character or offering his protection?

I might create a network post with Soushi offering his services in exchange to keep him company in the person's room until further notice. Yes, it is a free protective service which includes cleaning and cooking. ouo That and holding his hand or giving him contact to keep him from getting sick.

No, but really. She's easy to scare and freak out and it will probably be even easier with the creepy feeling that's around. Also, she'll probably pretend to be too totally grown up for costumes but might end up wearing one for work/with a little prompting because well if everyone else is doing gosh maybe she can wear one she guesses geez.

Shinju's going to be panicky about stuff happening to his friends, and even though they haven't talked a lot, expect a call or two to see if you're alright, Pilouette... (it's probably not going to help with the scaredy cat thing.)

Also, he's going to be holed up in his apartment for the weekend, so I'm going to make a post tomorrow (through Sunday) where his roommate and friends can bug him, because he'll probably mention he's just going to stay inside as much as possible when he does his "are you okay??" calls. Feel free to come join! I'll make a plurk about it when I post.

Yeah Piper is not a fan of ghosts. Between the old Cherokee legends her grandfather used to tell and her own dealings with Eidolons they just seriously freak her out.

She might be seen trying to order the shadows to show themselves and/or leave.

Starfire will not be pleased by the seeming hauntings upon her arrival either, and you can probably expect her to be jumpy for the duration...

She will probably be sticking to whoever she can find that doesn't push her away.

Toss suggestions for costumes because I have no idea what to do for Yu. As for the paranoia, he'll look over his shoulder but try not to be bugged by them.

This is bad news for Shura. Paranoia is not a good thing for a person that has become an enemy of God. Expect Shura to be extremely twitchy and trigger-happy. On the other hand, if your character wants to catch Shura using her Demi-Fiend powers, now is a good chance.
