Event: Within the Shadows, End
On the 31st, no locals seem to respond to anything that is going on. In fact, they don't seem to even appear on the streets unless it's to stop someone they spy outside. The messages left on the walls too begin to fade from view as the candles slowly burn. As night falls however, things begin to proceed as normal. The city awakens from whatever spell that was placed upon the candles, and any text, audio, or video footage of and from Rangar disappear from the network.

Officials say that the words said on the entry were removed for reasons pertaining to slander, but were the words of the leader, Zeloph, truly false? Or were they simply the words of a psychopathic monster as the leaders would have everyone believe?

For now, all characters will have to go on is their own gut instinct... The scientists sure aren't speaking up after that embarrassment. Nor do they seem to want to worry the priestess over the matter.

An IC log for doing exactly the opposite can be found here, and I apologize for the delay in the completion of this event. Stay tuned for an important mod announcement later this week.

For those who went to try and catch the ones responsible for the messages, how likely would it be for them to have been successful?

It's likely that three would be caught. I knew I forgot something shit sorry

Spinister and Tony Stark would capture one should they pursue the sound in the shadows.
Steve and our ol' pal Winter Soldier could capture one as well.
Naoto Shirogane and Kanji Tatsumi as well.

All of them would notice their shadows have disappeared for a brief time, and will return to normal upon the conclusion of the event.

Are the Cultist regains available to anyone who lit their own candles? Or are they only for people who were definitely going to help out the Ragnar somehow?

Because Kit is definitely interested in what was said (it reminds her uncomfortably of how the situation between the cats and lizards was back home, and she knows how that turned out), and plans to talk to Rhea after asking a couple of her friends about it, but she's also all the unsure about a creepy guy talking over the comms who wouldn't really show them his face.

For the Winter Turncoat Bucky, I'd love to have his combat gear (including mask and goggles) for #1, and for #2 it would be rad to let him get his old dog tags.

I would like Diarmuid to get back a bronze bracelet. It is about an inch wide and has several runes carved into it. The bracelet has two spells cast on it. One of them slightly increases the strength of the wearer, while the other creates a protective shield around the wearer that will repel one attack per battle. The bracelet was being made as a gift for Diarmuid by his half-brother (with some help from the Druid Roc), but was never given to Diarmuid because his half-brother was killed before he could (and Diarmuid had the boy erased from his memory).

For Shinju, I think it's about time he received his necklace. It's a silver four-pointed star with a garnet in the middle, about half the size of his palm.

And for Freya, maybe she could have a Mini-Burmecia? Nothing like a figurine of your decimated home to lift your spirits.
