Hello everybody, it's that time of the month, with apps and acceptances and whatnot! Instead of filling the OOC comms with intros, this is a MEET AND GREET for new players and characters!

• This is a place for you to introduce you and your character. You can ramble on about what you want to do while you're here, CR opportunities, your cats, anything.

• Reply to others about how EXCITED you are to play with them!

• Maybe make some friends!

• The IC intro log will be put up on January 20th!

Oh, ah, I guess I can go ahead and post here?

NAME: Tai
CHARACTER(S): This sad-faced fellow. His name is Krok.
LJ/PLURK/ETC: I'm on Plurk at SlackerEmeritus!
PLANS/ETC: Krok's been at war for a long, long time. I'm mostly planning for him to learn how to civilian. And also get along with you squishy types (as a clever distraction from figuring out how to leave Saeng Seong).

He'll be staying in flat 3-04, Building 1. Feel free to stop by, though it might be a couple of weeks before he catches onto the notion of keeping things for guests to drink/snack on.

Would having a small squishy child attached to his ankle/foot/whatever a seven-year old can reach provide enough distraction for him?

Diarmuid just really misses his old Cybertronian buddies Wing and Deadlock, okay? He needs a giant robot in his life again!

That would be very distracting indeed! How does it stay stuck on him like that? Does it have magnets? Suction cups? Krok is so confused.

Super secret child powers. AKA: Sticky fingers, don't ask what he's been eating. Probably something sugary.

As long as those powers don't involve talking his spark into extinguishing itself. You are going to get some tiny bit of that fleshy anatomy pinched in Krok's ankle or knee at some point and then he'll have to clean it out. It's much more sensible to sit on his shoulder.

Hardly. He is much more likely to brighten that spark than extinguish it. Diarmuid is far too cute and cheerful most of the time.

And you have no idea how much he would love to sit on Krok's shoulder. He has a very serious weakness for being up high...

Should be very interesting! I don't think Krok's ever met a metal person who isn't Cybertronian (and if he has, it hasn't been shown yet anyway).

I'm very much interested in seeing how it goes!

Ahem yes Naoto will be interested in talking with the gentleman for sure. She's got a not so secret interest in Robots and things like Transformers.

Haha, yeah, Krok seemed to be on the smaller end of the scale to begin with, but now he's travel-sized for your convenience small enough to fit into his flat if he ducks. Haha.

And he's going to be curious how she knows about Transformers! (He was not in the loop for that whole "going to Earth" thing.)

Well, I suspect it'll be something LIKE transformers; I try not to canon break people or Fourth Wall anyone, but the Persona series makes 'references' to similar stuff in the real world. Like CoW being the alternate of WoW and Featherman R being like sentai/power rangers stuff!

So it'll just be a matter of a very similar premise but being called something else! I just need to think up a name... :V

Oh-ho! Well, you could take inspiration from the Japanese title for Transformers? Something like… Super Change Robot? Or something not as clunky. (The Japanese was Fight! Super Robot Lifeform Transformers, haha.)

Ever since a certain pair of little kids mentioned giant sentient robots Fortuna here has been curious to meet one! (not that she'll be of any help in distractions, mind. or maybe she will be, who knows!)

Krok is almost certain to ask what sort of robots have been here before him. I hope she's ready to answer questions!

She'll only be able to give names since she didn't ask much, but hey. She'll be glad there's someone taller than her now, at least! (at eight feet it gets a little awkward when the average is still ~5.5-6)

Also she will be very curious as to how he was made because sentient machines aren't really a thing in her world.

How he was made might be a conversation that requires some CR building (and that would be awesome). There's some weird/icky classism/bigotry issues involved and Krok is not on the privileged side of the argument.

Oh, are there? If either of them can ever get around to talking about it I think they'll find they have that much in common too!
