rekindle_ooc | EVENT: Memory Swap

Based on some player plot suggestions, we’ve got a little bit of fun planned for you guys in the form of an event! It’s been a while since there’s been some tampering with the direct effects of contact between characters….And it’s about time for that to come into play!

How so? Starting on the 23rd (and going to the 30th with some leeway) memories and recall might become a bit odd for your character, and people they’ve been close with.

See, the contact system has been finicky again, and those people you’ve been spending time with, been in contact with...You might get to know them better, and vice-versa. It could begin in dreams, or a sudden hallucination.

But certain memories from your companions could end up in your head, and you trade some of your own. You may even LOSE those memories for a short time. Maybe it’s a dark secret, a sad or a happy memory…Or just that embarrassing event you try to forget about. But it’s not just yours anymore.

MECHANICS FAQ:
Can I swap memories with more than one person?
Quite possibly! The main thing is that it’s a two way swap, between you and the other character. So for example, Character A can swap memories with B, and then swap memories again with C. But if B and C want to swap memories, they’ll have to make contact.

Can I swap memories that aren’t my own?
As mentioned above, no. You’ll need to make contact with the original owner of the memories if you’d like a swap!

Do I have to forget?
Not at all! That’s an optional effect for extra drama, to take or leave as you see fit.

What memories count?
Canon memories, RP memories, it’s all good.

Do you happen to have a text box I can use for this event?
But of course! Naturally, this is optional if you want to fill it out!

NEAR DEATHS -
-Clarabelle Cow chaining him up and throwing him over a bridge. (To which he... falls in love with her and sings. Look, the musketeer movie is weird, but KH says it's canon, SOOOO)
-Shoving King Mickey aside so he can take direct boulders to the head.

CHILDHOOD -
- A poor starving orphan, picked on my Beagle boys, but saved by the Musketeers! (Athos, Portos, Aramis and d'Artagnan)

WORLD TRAVELING -
- He's been to many Disney worlds, so feel free to share his time there! The Lion King (he got turned into a tortoise), The Little Mermaid (got turned into a sea turtle), Alice in Wonderland, Aladdin, Mulan, Tarzan, Beauty and the Beast, The Nightmare Before Christmas (he got turned into a monster-version of himself), Tron (got a nifty Tron suit), and the black and white Steamboat Willie world. I may be forgetting some ^^;

Goofy you're so cool, I would totally love to get some CR with him and Red. Especially Goofy just turning into other creatures. The other world stuff would just be like, wow, that is kinda really cool??

I would be happy to discuss scenarios of them meeting or such, and Goofy is also free to have any memory relating to Red. I did want to hit up Goofy's intro network post but alas, life things.

Oooh, fun! In exchange for what memory you please, I'll have him remember the first fight in the lab. It's sure to be very confusing for the poor dog.

As for them meeting, any which way is fine with me! Goofy typically takes long walks here and there, finding folks who need affection so he can help them out. He likes hugs :3

Absolutely! Let me give a quick write-up about it, just so you have it for reference:

Red has Charmander and Green/Blue has Squirtle. Red is totally filled with a bundle of excitement at having this Charmander girl in his arms, while the other boy's taken out a Squirtle from the ball, saying "My Pokemon looks a lot stronger!"

Goofy will then get to see Professor Oak as he gives what are meant to be departing words ("If a wild POKEMON appears, your POKEMON can fight against it!"), with Red nodding to him and being all "Alright!!", and he's about to leave, when that kid before?

"Wait Red! Let's check out our Pokemon! Come on, I'll take you on!"

Professor Oak shows some complaint about them having a fight right in what is obviously inside a building but allows it (I don't remember the exact words right now, just a kind of "oh Green/Blue, always so somethinsomething") and Red takes him on. Red totally wants to kick his butt.

What ensues is a bunch of kids fighting Pokemon that seem to have some idea of what they're doing and probably end up banging into a table or a shelf of books and documents (though thankfully not bringing it down), until both Red and the other kid screaming about "Go!! Attack!" ends up with them butting into each other and KOing each other.

Which has the other kid saying "WHAT? Unbelievable! I picked the wrong Pokemon!" as Red picks up his little girl oh no. :( And then they get healed up by a Professor who is more than used to this kid sigh grandsons. But his voice would've been heard guiding them both anyway so.

AS FOR MEETING, Pikachu is the social butterfly of the team and would easily be all about approaching him and wondering if he can chat to him because woah look at you dude.

Thanks for the detailed info! As for Goofy's transformations into other creatures, he never seems too shocked by these. Just "whelp, that's what we're going with, okey dokey". If you'd like, i can get you a detailed description of what encounter you'd prefer, unless you played the games and as such already know XD

AS FOR MEETING, oh man Pikachu is such a cutie Goofy wouldn't be able to resist. He would scoop up that electric rat and give it pettings. lots of pettings.

Oh gosh, I have barely any memory of Kingdom Hearts and how it works. They like... end up in a gummi ship and then they find a world and uh yeah!? I have no memory of how they actually get turned into animals. I wouldn't mind if you had any links either of how it goes. Whichever might be the easiest to find. :|a

Dang Kingdom Hearts, you opened up with Lion King world with that. But actually that opening would be a really cool memory (arriving in the Pridelands).

I think the cooking ramen one you suggested is cute! I'll go with that, if it's okay!

I gave the turned into turtle one away, so you can go with Sea Turtle, Frankenstein-monster-ish, or Tron-figure. Or the saving by musketeers, as you said. Here is a link to the short scene, around 2:15. Don't ask me why grown adults beat up little children, it's a weird movie.

Sounds good to me~! And I remember this movie, gosh haha. I will go with the being rescued, I think that could be a fun one. :)
